Arthritis
Treatment can be beneficial in easing the pain associated with arthritis in it’s many varied forms. The aim of treatment is to increase the movement available at the joint affected and decrease pain.
Improvement in the quality of movement is important so that irritation and inflammation is less likely during and after movement. Increase in lymphatic and venous drainage to the joint helps to decrease inflammation leading to less pain.
Back Pain
Some common areas treated for patients complaining of back pain include the joints of the back and pelvis, the muscles in these areas, the legs and feet and also the diaphragm.
Postural Guidelines
Many patients find it useful to have some postural advice handy at home. Postural Guidelines is a printable copy of some basic advice to help improve your posture.
Another area which patients often ask questions about is stretching. The clinic has created a mini Stretching and Postural Guidelines brochure to answer a few of the most common questions and give some guidance of some easy to do stretches.
