Colic
Many infants suffer from colic and wind pain. Osteopathy provides a natural therapy alternative for the treatment of this condition.
Colic symptoms include the baby’s abdomen becoming hard, squirming of the baby’s legs due to pain in the digestive tract, and a difficulty bringing up or expelling wind. This can occur due to compression in the abdominal region or poor neural and blood supply to the digestive tract.
Osteopaths treat colic by improving the function of the pelvis, spine and ribs to allow better nerve and blood supply to the digestive tract and less twisting and compression through the abdomen.
