News: Medicare Rebate Available for Osteopathy

Enhanced Primary care, or Chronic disease management is a A Medicare rebate available for a maximum of five (5) services per patient each calendar year.

Your GP will determine whether your chronic medical condition would benefit from osteopathy services.

A chronic medical condition is one that has been (or is likely to be) present for six months or longer. It includes, but is not limited to, conditions such as asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, musculoskeletal conditions and stroke. - more

News: Welcome to 2013

We are open and available for appointments from 2 January 2013. We have 5 osteopaths available 6 days a week - including Saturday morning.

We hope the festive season has been healthy and peaceful.  We look forward to catching up with all our current and plenty of new patients in 2013.

News: Holiday Opening Hours

Shayne Day returns from annual leave on the 23rd of November. To make an appointment feel free to call the clinic on 3311 5655. 

The clinic will be open for much of the Christmas break, but will be closed from the 25-27th of December, and on the 2nd of January.

News: Faye Kendall's days have Changed

Faye Kendall has changed the days she works, and her permanent days will now be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. On weekdays Faye works 8.30am to 6.00pm, and on Saturdays the hours are 7.30am untill 1.00pm.

News: Rebecca Baxter - Back from Maternity Leave

Rebecca Baxter will start back at Brisbane Osteopathic Centre on 4 July 2011.  She will be working on Monday and Thursday.  Rebecca is looking forward to seeing all of her old patients and welcoming new patients.

News: Scoot Baxter on Annual Leave - Back 24 May 2011

Scott Baxter is on Annual Leave until 24 May 2011. Scott is holidaying on the North Island of New Zealand for the next 2 weeks, taking a well deserved break. He is joined by Rebecca and the 5 month old Joshua.

News: Osteopathy Awareness Week

May 1 - 7 2011 is Osteopathy Awareness Week.  This is the osteopathic members chance to let the broader public know that using manual therapy Osteopaths can treat far more than low back, shoulder or neck pain.

The AOA is calling on Federal and State Governments to explain why osteopaths and the 35 000 people who see them every week are being ignored in the healthcare reform debate. - more

News: Closed 22 - 26 April. Easter Break

The Brisbane Osteopathic Centre is closed from Good Friday 22 April 2011 and will re-open Wednesday 27 April 2011. Happy Easter to all of our clients.  We hope the long break is a happy and healthy one.  

News: Easter Holidays

The Brisbane Osteopathic Centre will be closed Friday 22 April - 26 April 2011. Trent Sigley will be taking a well deserved break from 14 April - 3 May 2011. Faye Kendall will head back to Melbourne for her Easter break from 19 April - 28 April 2011. We still have 2 osteopaths working and should have no trouble fitting anyone in who needs osteopathic treatment.
